Barcia C et al. ROCK/Cdc42-mediated microglial motility and gliapse formation lead to phagocytosis of degenerating dopaminergic neurons in vivo. Scientific Reports. 2:809 - In this article, authors inhibited Rho kinase (ROCK) using a drug called HA-1077. As a Rho-kinase inhibitor, it may inhibit microglia activation. HA-1077 was disolved in saline and injected intraperitoneally at a single dose (40 mg/kg).

Shao-Wei Hou et al. Fasudil ameliorates disease progression in EAE, acting possibly through antiinflammatory effect. CNS Neuroscience and therapeutics. 2012. 18; 909-917 - Fasudil is a selective ROCK inhibitor. In this study, it was injected intraperitoneally everyday, since day 3 postimmunization (EAE was induced to mice), at 40mg/kg/day. Fasudil reduced the infiltration of CD4+ T-cells and CD64+ macrophages, and also the activation of microglia and astrocytes. It also shifts the state of macrophages and microglia from M1 (active) to M2 (inactive).

Shinobu Yamaguchi. Involvement of Rho-kinase in tumor necrosis factor-a-induced interleukin-6release from C6 glioma cells. Neurochemistry International. 2009. 55:438-445 - These authors used Fasudil also.

Kazuhide Hayakawa. Therapeutic time window of cannabidioltreatment of delayed ischemic damage via high-mobility grup box-1 inhibiting mechanisms. Biol. Pharm. Bull. 2009. 32:1538-1544 - In this experiment, mice received a drug, minocycline, at 1mg/ml. It was administered intraperitoneally, i.p. 0,1 ml/10 gramos, desde 5 días después de la lesión isquémica.
